The latest on my lancia resto project.

It has been raining more and more in Birmingham and although my car is covered it has become apparent that my roof was leaking much more than I had thought. I had made several repairs during summer but it became clear that none of these had worked.
My garage roof was a felt roof that was by now, more than 30 years old. It was time to replace the roof before the weather turned so I got together with my friends and we set about replacing the roof. With the old team assembled we were like a prequel to "Last of the Summer Wine!"
The felt roof was replaced with a EPDM roof and it took four of us to get the job done. The job was completed just before the heavens opened and thankfully the garage is now watertight.
I can now go back to working on the Lancia and you can expect some more car related posts moving forward.
The best thing now is that we can focus solely on the car as the days get shorter .
The priority remains to get the engine running, it turns over but will not start. The next thing we will be checking is all of the wiring for the ignition system and the timing.
Till next time.
